A fellow named "Dave" (or "David," I suppose) played for El Do Football back in the late 60's or early 70's.  He also worked at the MacDonalds up on State College.

He might have been a back ... maybe even a Q-Back but obviously I lost contact with him a long time ago.  Just wondering if you recall who that was and/or what has become of Dave.

Is this a trick question?  Are you looking for yourself? Grin

Naw, I found myself back in the 60's ... tuned in, turned on, and all that nonsense.  I'm MUCH smarter now.   Undecided

His name MIGHT have been Dave Hrbek or something like that, now that I think of it.

Do you mean Dave Hlavak (70)?  He played football his senior year at ED.

I remember Dave Hlavak from the class of '70. He was on the football and basketball team. Last time I saw him was in '71 or '72??? at San Diego State.

Yep, you guys are amazing.  Dave Hlavak it was.

So, Grant, you remember him moving on to SDSU?

Thanks for your good memories, folks.  No biggie ... just trying to track down a friend from the distant past.  You've been a big help.

I'll see if my brother-in-law knows where he is currently living.  He did make it back for one of our reunions, but it was several years ago.

I talked with Dave a few years back.  We have kept in touch on and off over the years.  Last time we spoke, he was living in San Diego, and starting a medical chat on line between Doctors and patients.

David Fry - A long shot, I know, but are you by chance related to Michael Fry of Yorba Linda?

No, Connie, I never met Michael.

Most Fry's can trace their lineage back to somewhere in PA and I'm no exception (wonder if Michael is).

Are you related to the "Boden" after whom "Boden Drive" is named (in Anaheim)?

Funny, I grew up in Orange County, and worked in Anaheim for several years. In fact, my Dad worked in Anaheim for 22 years. And yet I never knew there was a "Boden Drive."

My Dad is originally from Duluth, Minnesota. His grandparents came from Sweden.

Boden Drive connects to Forest Lane which connects to Louise Drive ... all forming a block-wide "U" in north anaheim.  I'm told "Boden," "Forest," and "Louise" were all somehow related to each other.  For all I know, the streets could have been named for Forest and Louise Boden, but I have nothing to back that up other than pure conjecture.

OH well, nice to meet you.
