Allison,
Your Sipple relatives might still be linked back to the "old country." From what I've been able to gather from family tree info and word of mouth in my family, when my great-grandfather immigrated, at Ellis Island they changed his name from Sippel to Sipple to make it more "American" looking.

Doug,

Thanks for the info...I might have to wait until the next census, if then.  Those cousins who are related, and femaile, are toughies.  Is your name common?  I've never ever seen it before you posted -----and those Christmas Cards we'd get in the '60s.  It's got to be what?  German?  Thanks for your help...

My family is from Germany. Of course, with all the wars over the last couple of centuries, the borders changed back and forth. My great grandfather was from Mengshausen near Bad Hersfeld in the northern part of Germany. My great grandmother was from Breslau, which depending on what time in history you look at it, was either in Poland or Germany. I don't think Sippel in Germany was like Smith is in America, so it is very likely that your relatives are also my kin as well (in a sixth cousin sort of way).

Hello.

I don't really know anyone else here from 86.  My really close friends all moved or transfered out a year before, so they didn't graduate from EDHS.  The only name I vaguely recognize here is Jolynn only because we had some classes together once or twice, I think. Undecided  It was too long ago for me.

Yes Jolynn is joking about the Hell part because the debate area at times
far surpasses what one might picture as Hell. The heat is hotter than Hades sometimes but worry not, there are asbestos suits and keyboards available for those who dare enter.

Just wanted to say that I visited the EDHS website today,
and found that this relatively new (since I was last on EDHS
website), and just registered.

Hopefully this will be the final alumni website, I think I
have signed up on 4 of them thus far  Grin

Take care my friends,

John

It seemed like every time that I would visit the
EDHS website (the school's own website), and click on
the "Alumni" link, there would be a new website I would
have to register for.

Originally, EDHS, had their own Alumni website.
Then they took it off their server.  Then it went
more independent, that closed and another one opened,
then this current website popped up.  So this is the
only existing "unofficially official" website for
EDHS (as compared to the pay websites that list
schools all across the country and around the
world such as Reunions, Classmates, and other pay
sights that are not linked to from the EDHS "official
school" website.

G-d Bless,

John
